Best Thing I Drank at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival

EPCOT is famous for 2 things above all else: Festivals and FOOD!

For every EPCOT festival there are dozens of outdoor kitchens featuring dishes from other cultures, art forms, fusions, and ideas. Delicious dishes and snacks always steal the spotlight at the festivals, but today let’s talk just about some of the drinks at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival 2023.

What is the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival?

The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is an annual event that takes place in Walt Disney WorldIt’s a bright and colorful celebration of nature’s beauty and a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. As you stroll through the park during this festival, you’ll be mesmerized by the breathtaking displays of vibrant flowers, meticulously manicured topiaries, and whimsical garden designs that seem to transport you to a magical world. The scent of blooming flowers fills the air, and the sight of colorful butterflies fluttering around adds an extra touch of enchantment. With live entertainment, engaging educational exhibits, and a wide array of delicious food and beverages inspired by fresh ingredients, the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the wonders of nature while enjoying a fun-filled day with loved ones.

How Long Does the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Run?

The International EPCOT Flower and Garden begins after the Festival of the Arts ends each year. The festival typically runs from early March to early July, which gives you ample time to run over to EPCOT and take in all of the topiaries, butterflies, and the outdoor kitchens.

Best of the Fest: Nigori Dragon Fruit Sake Cocktail

Hands down the BEST OF THE FEST is at Hanami, the outdoor kitchen in the Japan Pavilion. The Nigori Dragon Fruit Sake Cocktail is perfect in all of the ways! First, would you just look at it! It is beautiful and you feel bougie carrying around a pretty pink drink in a champagne glass!

Now for the flavor – This is a sweet drink, but not sweet like a cheap strawberry daiquiri. Think light and sweet, just like dragon fruit itself, and it is perfectly refreshing on an EPCOT day. The more we sipped, the better it seemed to get!

Remember, EPCOT has very little shade, so anything to keep you feeling cool, refreshed, and cute is a win!

BONUS: Best of the Fest: Snack

It’s never a good idea to drink on an empty stomach, and why would you want to when you are surrounded by the smells of festival foods!

While in line to try what came to be our Best of the Fest cocktail we saw the sign for “Fruishi”. As a lifelong sushi lover I have snubbed my nose at Frushi at the festival for years, but this year I was hungry and wanted something on the sweeter side…

Oh my goodness, I was not prepared! Frushi is amazing! What I originally thought was just for kids is actually a delicious, very American tasting twist on a Japanese favorite. The Frushi is sweet rice with pineapple, lychee, and strawberry, all rolled up like sushi.

For a picture of what it tastes like, do you remember your grandmother’s ambrosia salad? That stuff that was at every picnic with marshmallows, fruit cocktail, and cool whip? Yeah, Frushi tastes just like that!
